Electricity savings from switching lighting to high-efficiency LEDs may seem low but over the lifetime of a small or large business, it can make a big difference. For example, changing just one conventional light bulb to an energy-efficient LED can save $130 over the life of the bulb. A standard 60-watt incandescent bulb lasts for about 2,000 hours while an equivalent 10-watt LED lasts for about 16,000 hours and uses 85 percent less energy.
